"Ancient Market Town"
Bridgnorth: situated some 2 miles from Astbury
Falls is an ancient Market Town on the river Severn
in the County of Shropshire.
Bridgnorth is close to the County town of
Shrewsbury, to medieval Ludlow and the famous
Ironbridge Gorge.
Bridgnorth district is home to three other towns-
Much Wenlock, Brosely and the market town of
Shifnal, covering some 245 square miles, with a
population in the region of 52,000.

Sports and leisure
The town offers sports and leisure pursuits to suit all
tastes including Rugby, Football, Golf, Cricket and Rowing
Clubs and a Sports and Leisure Complex.
In addition for sailing enthusiasts, there is the local
Chelmarsh Sailing Club approximately 2 miles from Astbury
Falls.
Woodland walks
There are a wealth of splendid woodland walks and
opportunities for both cycling and horseback riding in the
beautiful Shropshire countryside. Various street markets in
and around the area are a weekly event.

Quaint
The town affords excellent shopping opportunities for
everyday needs as well as quality antique shops, museums,
historic buildings, a small theatre and a three-screen
cinema.
Many good Restaurants and hostelries are also to be found
within the bounds of the town and surrounding areas.
Steam trains
The Severn Valley Railway is an added attraction running
steam trains daily throughout the summer period from
Bridgnorth to Bewdley and Kidderminster.
